Church Profile and Branding

Your church profile settings control how your organization appears throughout Wired Church — in the admin interface, on the member portal, on giving statements, in email communications, and on your public website. This guide covers every field in the church profile and explains how your branding is applied across the platform.

Accessing Church Profile Settings

  1. Navigate to Admin > Settings from the admin sidebar.
  2. Click Church Profile in the settings menu.

Important

Only organization admins can edit church profile settings. Staff users can view the profile but cannot make changes.

General Information

These fields define your church's identity across the platform:

Field Description Example
Church Name Your official church name, displayed in headers and footers New Life Pentecostal Church
Street Address Physical address of your primary campus 123 Church Street
City City Enterprise
State Two-letter state code AL
ZIP Code Postal code 36330
Phone Main church phone number (334) 555-0100
Email Main church contact email info@nlpc.net
Website URL Your public website address https://nlpc.net
EIN Employer Identification Number for tax receipts 12-3456789

Where General Information Appears

  • Giving statements — Church name, address, and EIN are printed on all contribution statements and tax receipts.
  • Email footers — Name and address appear in the footer of all system emails (required for CAN-SPAM compliance).
  • Public website — Contact information populates the website footer and contact page.
  • Member portal — Church name appears in the portal header and dashboard.
Warning

The EIN field is used on official tax documents (contribution statements). Ensure this number is correct. An incorrect EIN on giving statements could cause issues for your donors during tax filing.

Service Times Configuration

Service times are displayed on your public website and in the member portal. To configure them:

  1. Scroll to the Service Times section on the Church Profile page.
  2. Click Add Service for each regular service.
  3. For each service, enter:
    • Service Name — e.g., "Sunday School", "Family Worship", "Wednesday Bible Study"
    • Day of Week — Select from the dropdown.
    • Start Time — e.g., 10:00 AM
    • End Time (optional) — e.g., 11:30 AM
    • Campus — Which campus this service belongs to.
  4. Drag rows to reorder how services appear on the public site.
  5. Click Save.
Tip

Service times entered here are for display purposes on the website and portal. Attendance service types are managed separately in the campus settings and can include special services that do not recur weekly.

Connect your church's social media profiles:

  1. Scroll to the Social Links section.
  2. Enter the full URL for each platform:
    • Facebook
    • Instagram
    • YouTube
    • X (Twitter)
    • TikTok
    • Vimeo
  3. Leave any field blank to hide that social icon.
  4. Click Save.

Social links appear as icons in the public website footer, the member portal sidebar, and the footer of email communications.

Logo Upload

Your church logo is used across multiple areas of Wired Church:

  1. Scroll to the Branding section.
  2. Click the Upload Logo area or drag and drop your logo file.
  3. Supported formats: PNG (recommended), JPG, SVG.
  4. Recommended dimensions: at least 400x400 pixels for the square version, and a wide version (800x200) for headers.
  5. The upload processes automatically and a preview appears.

Where Your Logo Appears

Location Logo Version Used
Admin sidebar header Square logo, displayed at 40x40px
Member portal header Wide logo if available, square fallback
Public website header Wide logo, scaled to fit
Giving statements (PDF) Square logo, top-left corner
Email header Wide logo, centered
Login page Square logo, large centered display
Favicon (browser tab) Auto-generated from square logo
Tip

Upload your logo with a transparent background (PNG or SVG) for the best appearance on both dark and light surfaces.

Favicon

The favicon is the small icon that appears in browser tabs and bookmarks:

  1. In the Branding section, locate the Favicon upload area.
  2. Upload a square image (recommended: 512x512 PNG).
  3. Wired Church auto-generates the required sizes (16x16, 32x32, 180x180, 192x192, 512x512).

If you do not upload a separate favicon, the system generates one from your square logo.

Color Theme Customization

Your organization's color theme affects the admin interface, member portal, and public website:

  1. Scroll to the Theme section.
  2. Configure the following:
Setting Description Default
Primary Color Main brand color for buttons, links, active states #02a2bc (teal)
Secondary Color Accent color for highlights and secondary elements #0a2540 (navy)
Accent Color Used for special emphasis, featured items #c9a227 (gold)
Dark Mode Toggle dark mode as default for admin and portal Enabled
  1. A live preview panel on the right shows how your color choices affect buttons, cards, and navigation.
  2. Click Save Theme.

Note

These colors are applied as CSS custom properties across the platform. The design system uses your primary color for navigation, buttons, and interactive elements. Neon status colors (green, red, amber) are not customizable — they are standardized for accessibility.

Public Website Settings

These settings control your public-facing website:

  1. Scroll to the Public Website section.
  2. Configure:
Setting Description
Site Title The title that appears in browser tabs and search results
Meta Description The description shown in search engine results (160 characters max)
Google Analytics ID Your GA4 measurement ID for tracking (optional)
Enable Public Website Toggle whether the public site is active
Show Service Times Display service schedule on the homepage
Show Location Map Embed a Google Map on the contact page
  1. Click Save.
Tip

The meta description is important for search engine optimization (SEO). Write a clear, concise description of your church that includes your city name. Example: "New Life Pentecostal Church in Enterprise, AL. Join us for Sunday worship at 10:45 AM."

Custom Domain Configuration

If you have a custom domain for your Wired Church site, the domain pointer is configured in the Custom Domain section of the church profile. For detailed setup instructions, see the Custom Domain Setup guide.

The current domain status displays here:

  • Active — Your custom domain is connected and serving traffic.
  • Pending — DNS changes have been made but are still propagating.
  • Not Configured — No custom domain is set up.

How Branding Appears on Statements and Emails

Contribution Statements

Giving statements pull the following from your church profile:

  • Church logo (top-left header)
  • Church name
  • Full address
  • Phone number
  • EIN (in the tax-exempt organization line)

A sample statement line reads:

"New Life Pentecostal Church (EIN: 12-3456789) acknowledges the following contributions for the tax year 2025."

System Emails

All automated emails (giving receipts, password resets, event reminders, absentee alerts) include:

  • Church logo in the email header
  • Church name as the sender display name
  • Church address in the email footer
  • Social media icons linking to your social profiles
  • Unsubscribe link (for broadcast emails)
Important

The sender email address for system emails is configured separately in Email Settings. The church profile email is the contact address, not the sending address.

Best Practices

  1. Keep your EIN accurate — This prints on legal tax documents. Verify it annually.

  2. Upload high-resolution logos — Low-resolution logos look blurry on high-DPI screens and in PDF exports. Always use at least 400x400px.

  3. Use a transparent background for your logo PNG. This ensures it looks correct on both the dark admin interface and light public website.

  4. Review your profile after any real-world changes — New phone number, new address, or updated service times should be reflected promptly.

  5. Test your colors — After customizing the theme, browse several pages to ensure text remains readable and buttons are clearly visible.
