  2. Scroll to the Usage section.
The usage dashboard showing progress bars for Members (42/50), Storage (0.3/1 GB), Email Broadcasts (67/100), and Admin Users (2/2)

The dashboard displays:

Metric What It Measures
Members Total active member records vs. plan limit
Admin/Staff Users Users with admin or staff roles vs. plan limit
Storage Media uploads, documents, and attachments vs. plan limit
Email Broadcasts Broadcast emails sent this billing period vs. plan limit
SMS Messages Text messages sent this billing period vs. plan limit
Campuses Active campuses vs. plan limit
Bank Feed Connections Connected bank accounts vs. plan limit
Note

Usage counters for broadcasts and SMS reset at the beginning of each billing period. Member and storage counts do not reset.

Usage Alerts

Wired Church sends alerts when you approach plan limits:

  • 80% threshold — A yellow banner appears on the admin dashboard.
  • 95% threshold — An email notification is sent to the billing contact.
  • 100% reached — The affected feature is soft-locked with a prompt to upgrade.
Important

Hitting a limit does not delete data or disrupt existing functionality. New records in the limited area are blocked until you upgrade or reduce usage. For example, reaching the member limit means you cannot add new members, but all existing member data remains accessible.

Payment Method on File

Your payment method is shown on the billing page with the last 4 digits for identification. To update it, see the Billing History and Invoices guide.

Accepted payment methods:

  • Credit Card — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
  • Debit Card — Any card with a Visa or Mastercard network logo
  • ACH Bank Transfer — Direct bank debit (Pro and Enterprise plans)
Tip

ACH bank transfers typically have lower processing fees than credit cards. If you are on the Pro or Enterprise plan, consider switching to ACH for savings.

The Free Starter Plan

The Starter plan is completely free and has no trial period. Here is what you need to know:

  1. No credit card required — Sign up and start using Wired Church immediately.
  2. No time limit — Use the Starter plan as long as it meets your needs.
  3. Full core features — Members, attendance, contributions, ministry scheduling, and the member portal are all available.
  4. Limited scale — The 50-member cap, single campus, and 3-fund limit are the main constraints.
  5. No custom domain — Your site is at yourchurch.wiredchurch.app.
  6. Community support only — Help center articles and email support with standard response times.

When to Upgrade from Starter

Consider upgrading to Pro when:

  • Your active member count approaches 50.
  • You need more than 3 contribution funds.
  • You want to add a second campus.
  • You need SMS messaging for 2FA or broadcasts.
  • You want a custom domain for professional branding.
  • You need bank feed integrations for financial management.
  • You need more than 2 admin/staff user accounts.

Viewing Plan Comparison

To compare plans side by side:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Settings > Billing.
  2. Click View Plans or Compare Plans.
  3. A modal displays all three tiers with feature comparisons.

Billing Contact

The billing contact receives all payment-related communications:

  • Payment confirmations
  • Failed payment alerts
  • Usage threshold warnings
  • Plan change confirmations
  • Invoice emails

By default, the billing contact is the organization admin who set up the account. To change the billing contact:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Settings > Billing.
  2. Scroll to Billing Contact.
  3. Enter the name and email for the person who should receive billing communications.
  4. Click Save.
Note

The billing contact does not need to be an admin user. You can set it to your church treasurer or financial secretary's email address.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a contract or commitment? No. All plans are month-to-month (or annual if you choose). You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time.

Do I get charged per member? No. Pricing is based on plan tiers with member count limits, not per-member pricing. Whether you have 10 or 49 members on the Starter plan, the cost is the same (free).

What happens if I exceed my member limit? You will not be able to add new members until you upgrade or remove inactive members. Existing data is not affected.

Can I try Pro features before upgrading? Contact Wired Church support to request a 14-day Pro trial on your existing account. No credit card required for the trial.

Is my data safe if I cancel? Your data is retained for 90 days after cancellation. During this period, you can reactivate your account and all data will be restored. After 90 days, data is permanently deleted.
